Do you love June as much as I do? Summer begins, schools let out, boats skim the water, and lightning bugs twinkle at dusk. Plus, there's so much to do. We’ve got graduation parties (congratulations, graduates!), festivals, outdoor concerts, parades…so many fun activities to fill your calendar! This was an important month that marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day. It was disappointing that severe storms forced the cancellation of the Memorial Day Parade, but it gave me an opportunity to meet and chat with residents who had shown up at City Dock anyway. Honoring the ultimate sacrifice for our country is very important to me, as it is to many in Annapolis. Speaking of parades, my campaign team and I marched in the Annapolis Pride Parade on June 1 and had a rousing good time celebrating the LGBTQ+ community! We’re also marching in the Juneteenth Parade at Noon on Saturday, June 22, followed by a festival, live music, and fireworks to commemorate the freedom of enslaved Americans. You are welcome to walk with us and can sign up here. June is a big month for my campaign, as we strive to meet our fundraising goal by July 1. We are currently $5,000 away from our goal. All amounts are welcome, so please donate! Though our campaign workers are nearly all volunteers, we need funds for marketing expenses, supplies, and website maintenance. Running a strong campaign is costly and we depend on you. If you prefer mailing a check, please make checks payable to "Friends of Jared Littmann” and send to PO Box 6796 Annapolis, MD 21401. I hope you have a fabulous June and I will see you at the July 4th parade. Sincerely, Jared Littmann |
