Money matters — so should our mayor’s budget skills

David Jarrell has spent years serving Annapolis as our former City Manager and Director of Public Works. I’m grateful for his support and trust. Below is a snippet of his opinion letter in the Capital Gazette.

"As Annapolis looks to the future, we need a mayor with vision and the financial discipline to make that vision a reality. As someone who served Annapolis for more than a decade — in the role of city manager and two stints as Public Works director — I know from experience how critical it will be to have a steady hand to navigate the upcoming rough waters. The next mayor will guide the city’s implementation of large capital projects such as the City Dock renovation, while also managing rising costs and the possibility of reduced state and federal funding. I have known Jared Littmann since his time as alderman beginning in 2013, and I trust him to be steadfast at the helm as mayor."
